Duluth, U.S. & Copenhagen, Denmark – March 30, 2017 – Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health and Novozymes today announced a strategic collaboration to develop and commercialize probiotics for global poultry production. The parties will focus on developing products for hatcheries, the facilities where eggs are hatched before the chickens move to grow-out farms. As part of the agreement, Boehringer Ingelheim will market and distribute Novozymes’ FloraMax® probiotic product for the U.S. poultry industry. Boehringer Ingelheim plans on expanding to other markets globally in the coming years.
March 29, 2017 - LITTLE ROCK, AR - The program and speakers for the 2017 Food Safety Conference has been finalized with Cory Hedman, Vice President, QA/Food Safety of Meijer Supermarkets as the retail keynote speaker and Ernie Meier, Director of Quality, Poultry Supply Chain of McDonalds as the food service keynote speaker.
The conference is scheduled for April 12-13 at the Hilton Branson Convention Center in Branson Missouri. The two-day conference will highlight food safety issues through the farm to the table focusing on topics specific to the broiler and turkey industry.
