Mass Animal Mortality Management Workshop

On April 18, 2017 in Raleigh, NC a Mass Animal Mortality Management Workshop will be held. Attendees will hear about Lessons Learned from Recent HPAI and NC Flood Events. This event will be a  pre-conference workshop as part of the 3rd International Waste to Worth conference on Livestock and Poultry Environmental Quality, a national network of agri-professionals addressing issues related to air, water, soil, and climate.

Sneak Peek: A Look Inside Cargill's Turkey Operations

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Cargill’s turkey processing facility in Springdale, Arkansas, is one of the largest in a city that is home to many established poultry companies. Since 1976 Cargill has produced turkeys in Springdale and the 360,000-sq.-ft. facility currently employs 1,100 and produces approximately 300 million lbs. of finished goods per year.

Perdue Farms names Randy Day CEO

Randy Day has been promoted to chief executive officer of Perdue Farms, effective immediately. Day has served as chief operating officer since May 2016. He will also serve on the company’s board of directors.

JBT Corporation Purchases Avure Technologies Inc.

CHICAGO – JBT Corporation announced its purchase of Erlanger, Kentucky-based Avure Technologies Inc., a leading provider of high pressure processing (HPP) systems, for $57 million. According to JBT, the acquisition of Avure should bring in approximately $50 million of additional annual revenue.
