Americans to Eat 1.47 Billion Chicken Wings for Super Bowl LIX
Washington, D.C. (January 30, 2025) – While Kansas City is known for its barbecue and Philly its cheesesteaks, when it comes to Super Bowl menus, nothing is hotter than wings. The National Chicken Council (NCC) today released its annual Chicken Wing Report, projecting Americans to consume 1.47 billion chicken wings watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles battle for the Lombardi Trophy. This figure represents an increase of 1.5 percent from last year’s game, or about 20 million more wings.

NTF Celebrates 77-year Tradition of National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation
WASHINGTON – National Turkey Federation (NTF) Chairman John Zimmerman presented the National Thanksgiving Turkeys named Peach and Blossom to President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. today during the National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation at the White House. Peach and Blossom received a formal pardon from the holiday table and will now reside at Farmamerica, Minnesota’s Center for Agricultural Interpretation, in Waseca, Minnesota. This year’s presentation marked the 77th year of this time-honored American tradition dating back to 1947.
