The Poultry Federation (TPF), a multi-state trade organization representing the poultry and egg industry in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, hosted their 62nd Annual Poultry Festival. The event took place in Rogers, Arkansas, at the Embassy Suites and Rogers Convention Center June 10-11, 2022.
On July 17, 2022, The Poultry Federation suffered a terrible loss. Allied member, Chip Blocker, Account Manager for Eastman, passed away.

Arkansas Future Farmers of America, an organization dedicated to developing student potential through agricultural education, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Marion D. Fletcher Leadership Center on Wednesday, July 13. Arkansas FFA renovated the space located at Camp Couchdale in Hot Springs, Arkansas, home to Arkansas FFA since the late 1920s.
Jones-Hamilton Co. announces the promotion of Kimber Ward to the role of National Sales Manager of the Agricultural Division. Ward joined the company in 2021 as Territory Manager.
New mega-mill in Fulton will take the place of older feed mills in Hope and Nashville.
The Poultry Federation of Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, announces its Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 year. Serving as chairman of the board is Toby Tapp, Complex Manager for Wayne Farms in Danville, AR; vice-chairman is Duane Weems, Live Operations Manager at Peco Foods in Pocahontas, AR; secretary of the board is Keith Smith, Vice President of Sales at Keith Smith Company, Inc, in Hot Springs, AR; treasurer of the board is Billy Hufford, Business Unit Manager at Aviagen in Siloam Springs, AR; and serving as past chairman of the board is Tim Thompson, Vice President at Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. in Searcy, AR.
Poultry Guard® recently hired Josh Payne, Ph.D., as the new Technical Services Director and Clint Lauderdale as the new Sales Director. Payne will be responsible for providing technical support as well as directing company research initiatives. Lauderdale will be responsible for directing national sales and providing customer support.
The Poultry Federation (TPF) awarded $182,000 in scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year to 17 graduate and 19 undergraduate students majoring in poultry related studies at Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma universities.
The National Chicken Council asks the Food and Drug Administration and U.S. Department of Agriculture for clearer guidance and strict enforcement of misleading product labels.
