Little Rock, AR — The Poultry Federation (TPF) is proud to celebrate and support the grand opening of Wayne‑Sanderson Farms’ cutting-edge feed mill, now fully operational adjacent to its Danville Fresh Processing Complex. This new facility marks a significant investment in Arkansas agriculture and the regional poultry supply chain.
Constructed at a cost of $43 million on a 21-acre site, the facility is built to deliver more than 8,500 tons of feed weekly, serving over 125 local family farms. That volume highlights both the scale and strategic importance of this operation to local growers and poultry producers alike.
“We’re thrilled that Wayne‑Sanderson Farms has not only created high‑tech infrastructure but also reinforced its commitment to the regional farming community,” said Marvin Childers, President of TPF. “The mill’s capacity to mix feeds—from baby chick to broiler and layer formulations—demonstrates a comprehensive approach to animal nutrition and supply‑chain efficiency.”
Equipped with twin pellet mills producing feed at 45 tons per hour, a mixing capacity of 160 tons per hour, and two dedicated grain-receipt systems unloading 26,500 bushels hourly, the facility also includes redundant infrastructure—emergency generators, automation, and HVAC systems—to ensure year-round reliability.
This development is expected to boost economic activity locally through grain purchases from Arkansas row crop farmers, construction employment, and ongoing operational staffing. TPF supports these community-wide benefits, which align with its mission to strengthen regional ag development.
