August 3, 2019 – Little Rock, AR – The Poultry Federation (TPF) partnered with Verizon Area for the 3rd Annual Wingstock. The annual event hosted by Verizon provides a way for local restaurants to showcase their culinary skills.
When the Poultry Federation came across a recap of the 2018 Wingstock - “We knew we needed to find a way to get involved”, stated Marvin Childers, president of TPF. “We contacted the Verizon Arena Sales Manager, Jeremy Flynn to discuss Wingstock and after learning the number of wings they would need, we immediately knew we had the resources to help provide the wings for the event,” stated Childers. TPF member, Tyson Foods of North Little Rock, stepped up to provide the 175 cases of wings for Wingstock 2019.
“We sincerely appreciate the team at Tyson Foods of North Little Rock. With their support and generosity, this year’s Wingstock 2019 has been the most successful Wingstock to date,” stated Jeremy Flynn, Sales Manager at Verizon Arena.
This year thirty restaurants put their best wing forward for a chance to win the Golden Wing Award and People’s Choice Award. Each team prepared approximately 2,000 wings that’s 60,000 total wings that were served up to attendees at Wingstock 2019.
For the third year in a row, the annual Wingstock was sold out. There were 1,355 in attendance from across the central region of the state that came to enjoy the various wings that were being served up.
Congratulations to La’Changes who took home the People’s Choice Award and Southern Gentleman Catering who won the coveted Golden Wing Award.
