The Poultry Federation of Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, announces its Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 year. Serving as chairman of the board is Toby Tapp, Complex Manager for Wayne Farms in Danville, AR; vice-chairman is Duane Weems, Live Operations Manager at Peco Foods in Pocahontas, AR; secretary of the board is Keith Smith, Vice President of Sales at Keith Smith Company, Inc, in Hot Springs, AR; treasurer of the board is Billy Hufford, Business Unit Manager at Aviagen in Siloam Springs, AR; and serving as past chairman of the board is Tim Thompson, Vice President at Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. in Searcy, AR.
Additional board members for 2022-2023 include: Andrew Lekwa, Complex Manager at Butterball; Mark Weathers, Complex Manager Benton Co. Operations at Simmons Foods, Inc.; Shane Acosta, General Manager at Cargill; Russell Bragg, SVP Supply Chain at O.K. Foods, Inc.; Eddie Halter, Complex Manager at Pilgrim’s in DeQueen, AR; Dr. Scott Gustin, Managing Director of Veterinary Services at Tyson Foods; Shane Parks, Senior Vice President Poultry at Tyson Foods; Sara Throne, Sr. Director, Veterinary Services at Simmons Foods.
Two allied membership representatives serve on this year’s board of directors. They are: Dwight Curl, Key Account Manager at Marel and Darrell Stoner, District Sales Manager at Elanco.
Marvin Childers of Little Rock serves as President of The Poultry Federation. “Our Federation board of directors has a long-standing history of maintaining strong leaders who contribute to the long-term prosperity of our industry,” stated Childers. “This year is no different and we thank them for their time and dedication.”
The association’s staff members include Holly Duval Director of Marketing and Business Development, Annie Hounsel, Business Operations Coordinator, Piper Orio-Dettling, Marketing Coordinator, Tyler Norvell of Tuttle, Oklahoma, who handles the Oklahoma operations and John Bryan of Jefferson City, MO who oversees the Missouri operations.
