Dr. Josh Payne and Clint Lauderdale join Poultry Guard®

Poultry Guard® recently hired Josh Payne, Ph.D., as the new Technical Services Director and Clint Lauderdale as the new Sales Director. Payne will be responsible for providing technical support as well as directing company research initiatives. Lauderdale will be responsible for directing national sales and providing customer support.

josh payne20220706 405496Dr. Payne brings years of poultry litter management experience from both his industry and academic background. His prior role as State Poultry Specialist at Oklahoma State University focused on nutrient management, pathogen control, water quality, and avian influenza response. While in industry, Payne provided numerous litter management presentations at the state and national level and led several field and laboratory research trials. Payne is a recognized national expert on avian influenza response, having directed mass mortality composting efforts on over 30 avian influenza-infected farms and given multiple presentations to industry, state agency, and federal agency representatives regarding his experiences. Payne received a B.S. in Agriculture from Arkansas State University, an M.S. in Poultry Science from the University of Arkansas, and a Ph.D. in Poultry and Animal Science from North Carolina State University.

Clint LauderdaleClint also brings many skills to this new position with extensive experience in the poultry industry as a regional sales manager, live production manager, broiler manager, hatchery manager, live haul manager, and processing plant maintenance manager. He remains very active by currently serving on the board of directors for the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association, Tennessee Poultry Association, and Kentucky Poultry Federation. Lauderdale received an A.S. in Engineering Design Technology from Snead State Community College and a B.S. in Poultry Science from Auburn University.
