April 25, 2019 – Little Rock, AR – The Poultry Federation (TPF) was proud to sponsor and attend the 92nd Annual Arkansas FFA State Convention. The convention was held on April 22nd-24th, 2019 at the Hot Springs Convention Center with 2,754 in attendance from approximately 185 FFA chapters across the state.
TPF provided $2,000 to the Arkansas FFA Foundation to sponsor the Poultry Career Development Events (CDE) District and State Awards.
The Poultry Evaluation CDE encourages learning through activities relative to production and management, processing, marketing and food safety and quality of poultry products.
CDE Poultry Evaluation Award State Winners include, State Champion Team-Springdale HarBer FFA, State Individual Champion-Brandon White of Murfreesboro FFA, 2nd Place Team-Kaleb Barenberg of Lincoln FFA, and 3rd Place Team-Courtney Vaught of Murfreesboro FFA, and State High Point Team-Murfreesboro FFA.

Eastern District Champion Team- Mountain Home FFA, Eastern District 2nd Place Team- Greene County Tech FFA, Eastern District 3rd Place Team- Valley View FFA, and Eastern District Champion Individual-Jazzmon Pillow-Greene County Tech.
Poultry Production Proficiency Award Winners include, State Champion and Finalist-Max Grub-Magazine FFA, Shelby Roark-State Finalist-Springdale HarBer FFA, and Taylor Cooper-“Gold” Award Winner-Springdale HarBer FFA.

TPF also participated in the State Convention College and Career Expo where they educated students on the opportunities and careers available in the poultry industry in Arkansas. The winner of the “Choose Poultry,” student giveaway was Rosanna Cohen of Dover FFA.
