Peco Foods Receives Grant for Expansion
Governor Mike Beebe awarded Peco Foods a $485,000 Arkansas Economic Development Commission grant in recognition of its expansion project at the Newark mill and Batesville plant.
Peco Foods, with the aid of a $175,000 local incentive grant from the Independence County Economic Development Commission, invested $13.8 million in the project.
The expansion project in conjunction with the County's investment and the Economic Development Commission grant is projected to create 300 new jobs by March 1st of 2014.
The presentation was held on Wednesday, October 24th, 2012 at Peco Foods in Batesville.
