Dear TPF Members and Friends of the Poultry & Egg Industry,

We hope everyone is getting excited for this year’s Poultry Festival.  It is hard to believe that it will be here in just a couple of weeks!  We are very excited about our Allied Industry Scholarship Auction and are hoping that all TPF members will be able to participate.  Our Scholarship committee recently met and has allocated $90,000 worth of scholarships to very deserving students across the state of Arkansas for this coming academic year.  We couldn’t do that without the past support of Federation members and industry friends, but we want to be able to continue to support students and we need your help!

We have some wonderful items already donated…many from faithful TPF members that have supported our program for many years and excitedly many items from new members.  However, if we are going to reach our goal of exceeding $80,000 dollars raised in 2011 we need to have everyone involved.

Challenge to TPF Allied Membership:  Our challenge to our entire TPF Allied membership is that if every company participated, we could fill our auction to capacity with over 300 items and raise a huge amount of money to send students to college.  That is still possible, but we need your involvement.   

All items are needed—big or small.  Our live auction is quickly filling up, but we still have room for a few more big ticket items.  Our enlarged silent auction was a big hit last year and allowed more attendees to participate, so if you are not able to donate a large item, please consider supporting our Scholarship Program with a smaller item or basket.

We are asking to have the Scholarship Auction submission forms by this Friday, June 1.  We don’t need your item by then, but need you to fill out the short form so that we can include your item and company name in the advertisements and brochure given out at the auction.
