TPF is pleased to announce the recent addition of Jayme Bruton to the team at The Poultry Federation office in Little Rock.
As many of our members know, the Federation has continuously grown over the past five years. Our Allied membership has grown over 400%. Attendance at Nutrition Conference, Turkey Committee Meeting, Processors Workshop, and Spring Symposium has steadily increased over the years by 50%. Every year, participation in the scholarship auction that funds our college scholarship account, has increased significantly. With this positive upswing in growth, TPF realized the need to hire a part-time employee to assist in all areas of the association’s activities.
About Jayme BrutonJayme, who goes by “J.J.” received her Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture Education and a minor in Horticulture from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. (Go Muleriders!) She received her Master of Science in Agriculture with an emphasis in Adult Education, also from SAU.
J.J. enjoys all outdoor activities including skeet shooting, fishing, hiking, and camping. She also has a First Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. She and her husband, Briggs, reside in Benton.
Here's an interesting note: J.J.'s mother is a former recipient of an "Allied Poultry" scholarship and remembers having to work in the Chicken Kitchen during the state fair.
“J.J. has been in the office for a week now and it’s obvious she will be an asset to our staff,” stated Marvin Childers, TPF President.
Please join us in welcoming J.J. to our industry!
