James L. Salkeld, Director of the Arkansas Department of Labor, has announced that River Valley Animal Foods (RVAF) a division of Tyson Foods located in Texarkana is the recipient of a Two-Year Accumulative Safety Award.
One hundred and one employees have accumulated two years without a lost day away from work due to a work-related injury or illness between April 2010 and April 2012.
The company has a safety program in effect and a safety committee made up of both employees and management.
