SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Tyson Foods announced the winners of the company’s seventh annual “Suppliers of the Year” awards program.
Curwood, Newly Weds Foods, Intralox and DuPont Industrial Biosciences were each honored as “Supplier of the Year” in their respective supply categories. Recipients of the “Contractors of the Year” honor are ARMI Contractors* and Nelson Engineering Construction for their service in the Poultry & Prepared Foods and Fresh Meats divisions, respectively. Laitram Machinery was recognized as “Innovator of the Year” for its work on a 2011 project with the Tyson Manufacturing Services group.
The awards were presented at a recent luncheon at Tyson Foods’ headquarters. Honorees were selected based on supply-chain performance, total cost of ownership, pricing programs, customer-service performance, sustainability initiatives and other performance metrics observed throughout the year, according to Tyson.
