James L. Salkeld, Director of the Arkansas Department of Labor, has announced that Tyson Foods in Hope, AR is the recipient of a One Million Work Hour Safety Award. Eight hundred fifty employees accumulated 1,000,000 work hours without a lost day away from work due to a work related injury or illness between August 15, 2009 and April 23, 2010. The company has a safety program in effect and a safety committee made up of both employees and management.
