James L. Salkeld, Director of the Arkansas Department of Labor, has announced that Tyson Valley Distribution Center in Russellville, AR is the recipient of a One Million Work Hour Safety Award.

Two hundred forty employees accumulated 1,000,000 work hours without a lost day away from work due to a work related injury or illness between May 16, 2008 and May 29, 2010.
 
The company has a safety program in effect and a safety committee made up of both employees and management.

The ceremony will be held Jul 16, 2010 at 12:00 p.m., at 4820 Hwy 64 East in Russellville, AR. You may contact David Rook, Complex Safety Manager.
