Team entries for The Poultry Federation’s Barbecue Contest are now open. The contest will be held Saturday, June 12, at the John Q Hammons Convention Center, during the 51st Annual Poultry Festival. Download entry form here. Entry deadline is May 14.
There are two divisions of the contest: poultry company division and allied company division. Each cooking team must represent a poultry company, complex, a combination of complexes, a university, or an allied member company. Teams are encouraged to incorporate the Festival’s “western” theme in their booth.
Chief cooks for the teams are asked to attend one of two meetings scheduled to review the contest rules and guidelines. The meetings will be held at two different locations: TPF office in Little Rock on Tuesday, May 4 at 10:30 a.m. or in Rogers at the JQH Convention Center (Hammons Board Room) on Thursday, May 6 at 3:30 p.m.
