The Poultry Federation (TPF) has partnered with the Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF) for assistance with the organization’s scholarship process and distribution of funds.
This year our scholarship application process will be online through the ARCF. Through the new application system, students will be able to enter information, submit a personal essay and upload supporting documents through a simple online form.
We will begin accepting applications through the online system on February 1, 2013. Deadline to submit application is March 1, 2013.

The Poultry Federation has three types of scholarships available to students enrolled in the following university systems: Arkansas State University (all ASU campuses); University of Arkansas (all U of A campuses); Arkansas Tech University, and Southern Arkansas University.
The three scholarships include Nutrition, Junior/Senior, and Industry Student.
1. Nutrition: Available to graduate level students pursuing a degree in poultry/animal science with emphasis in poultry nutrition.
2. Junior/Senior: Available to college junior and senior level students pursuing a degree related to the poultry industry.
3. Industry Student: Available to college sophomore, junior or senior level students with direct family involvement in the poultry industry.

Scholarship Process
a) Instructional letters are sent to schools from the Arkansas Community Foundation.
b) The departments targeted are agricultural based degree programs (ex: Poultry Science, Animal Science, Ag Business, etc).
c) Each school/department is responsible for choosing their top 5 applications and sending them back to the Arkansas Community Foundation.
d) TPF provides guidelines and instructions to the schools on how to select applicants.
Selection of Recipients
a) All scholarship recipients are chosen by the TPF Scholarship Committee and the Arkansas Community Foundation – this is a collaborative effort.
b) Applications are graded using established grading guidelines and scores are used to determine finalists.
