The Poultry Federation announces plans for the 2010 Annual Spring Symposium scheduled for April 20-21 at the Springdale Holiday Inn in Springdale, AR.  Live production personnel and suppliers who support live production of turkeys, breeders, and broilers; and more specifically service technicians and grow-out managers are encouraged to register and attend.  To kick off the event, the annual University of Arkansas Poultry Science Scholarship Golf Tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, followed by a reception and a vendor trade show that evening.  The vendor trade show continues on Wednesday during the conference. Click here to dowload brochure. 

MORRIS, CZARICK, BRADBURY ARE KEY SPEAKERS FOR GENERAL SESSION
Key speakers for the morning general session on Wednesday, April 21 include Mike Morris of Yum Foods, Mike Czarick of the University of Georgia, and Jim Bradbury of James Bradbury, PLLC.  A service technician awards ceremony is planned after the morning session.  After the conference lunch, break-out sessions for Broiler, Turkey, Hatchery, and Breeder are scheduled to run concurrently. 

Cost to register for the Symposium is $60 for TPF members, $100 for non-TPF members, and $100 for all on-site registrations.  Students are free.   Registration deadline is April 16.  Table-top booth rental for the vendor trade show is $50 for TPF members and $100 for non-TPF members. 

The conference is coordinated by The Poultry Federation, the Poultry Improvement Committee and the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science.  Following is a list of speakers and their topics.

Nominations Sought for Service Tech of the Year
Nominations are now being accepted for the “2010 Service Technician of the Year” announces Brian Esters, O.K. Farms. The award will be presented during the Annual Live Production Symposium which will be held April 20-21, 2010 at the Springdale Holiday Inn. Esters serves as the Symposium Chair. The completed application with a letter of recommendation must be submitted by March 1, 2010 to The Poultry Federation office. Click here to download application.
